Overnight Hospitalization Care

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Pet Urgent Care is now offering overnight hospitalization care. This serves as an option for patients that are in need of around-the-clock care and medical supervision. We understand how stressful it can be when your pet has a medical emergency, and that’s why we try our best to make it as easy and comfortable for you as possible.

What qualifies as level one hospitalization?

Your veterinarian will determine the state of your pet’s condition and will determine the level of care they need. Level one hospitalization is typically for pets that are recovering from a surgery or illness and need to be monitored hourly, but they are not critically ill or likely to have CPR performed.

What does treatment look like?

Overnight hospitalization at Pet Urgent Care is for level one hospitalization only and will be provided by an experienced technician. This care is not for patients that are critically ill and in need of a doctor present. Patients will be provided with medication and treatments, fluids, water, blankets, and everything they need to make them as comfortable as possible while we monitor them. All vitals will be checked every hour including temperature, respiratory rate, and pulse rate.

What happens if my pet needs a doctor’s care?

In the rare case of an emergency and your baby needs more than level one hospitalization our technicians are fully trained and equipped to transport your baby using our Pet Vet Express ambulance to the nearest emergency veterinarian. Prior to dropping off your baby with us, you will provide the details of what you want us to do in case of emergencies. You will be contacted immediately of any changes in your pet’s condition.

The cost for overnight hospitalization is $600 a night.
