Dr. Katy Baker, has nurtured a love for animals since childhood. In her role at Seven Oaks Pet Hospital, Dr. Baker brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of animals. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her three large breed mutts—Nalah, Captain Hook, and Brave—and her daughter’s bearded dragon, Ty. Sravani

Lead Veterinary Technician

My love for animals began in childhood, growing up around a variety of animals, including elephants, cows, dogs, and cats. My grandmother was my greatest inspiration; her compassion for animals, especially the stray and homeless animals she cared for, deeply influenced me. Her love for animals inspired me to pursue my Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) after her passing, turning that love into my lifelong commitment to veterinary medicine.

After gaining veterinary experience in India, I moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas Tech University school of veterinary medicine, focusing on Animal Science and Veterinary Science. My research explored the effects of colostrum on beef calves. I joined Seven Oaks Veterinary Hospital in May 2025, where I continue to grow professionally and strengthen my clinical skills.

I am passionate about animal health, compassionate patient care, and continuously learning to provide the best possible care to every animal I meet.
